Cliff Grant

I have more than 20 years of experience advancing Indigenous relations, housing, governance, and community development across British Columbia and beyond. As a member of the Haisla Nation, I bring deep expertise in First Nations governance, Indigenous housing systems, and stakeholder engagement, along with a strong track record of building trusted relationships across communities, governments, and organizations.

At macushlaw, I contribute to and help deliver the firm’s strategic relations strategy, with a focus on fostering meaningful, long-term relationships with First Nations, housing providers, non-profits, and other key partners. I support business development efforts, make strategic introductions, and work closely with leadership to strengthen the firm’s connections across sectors aligned with its purpose-driven mandate.

I have held senior leadership roles with organizations including the Aboriginal Housing Management Association (AHMA), where I served as Director of Strategic Relations and played a key role in advancing large-scale Indigenous housing strategies and partnerships. My earlier career included over 15 years with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, where I supported capacity development, led housing initiatives, and worked closely with First Nations communities across Western Canada.

I am known for my strategic thinking, collaborative approach, and strong facilitation skills. I bring a unique ability to navigate complex relationships, support reconciliation efforts, and help organizations align their work with Indigenous priorities and cultural protocols. In my free time, I love to golf and enjoy playing lacrosse or catching a Vancouver Warriors game.
