who am I?
I’m a business lawyer based in Vancouver, where I’ve lived nearly my entire life. I feel incredibly fortunate to live and practice law in this beautiful city I call home. My practice focuses on small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), technology and e-commerce, privacy and data protection, non-profits and charities, and the creative industries.
I love working closely with my clients to help them achieve their goals while ensuring they operate on a strong legal foundation. Over the course of my legal career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients—entrepreneurs launching or growing their businesses; new and established non-profit societies; tech and e-commerce start-ups; digital and traditional marketers; business and lifestyle coaches; consultants; agencies, actors, filmmakers, musicians, graphic designers, photographers, and so many other creatives. As diverse as my clients are, they all share one important trait: like me, they’re dreamers and doers.
I’m naturally curious and inquisitive, and I make it a priority to understand my clients, their businesses, and their goals. I bring authenticity, honesty, energy, and enthusiasm to my work—qualities my clients genuinely value and appreciate.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Simon Fraser University in 2009, and my Juris Doctor in 2019. I was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2021.
Before becoming a lawyer, I wore a few different hats—including Property Manager and Business Development Coordinator for Canada’s largest co-operative housing management company, Employment Standards Officer with the BC Ministry of Labour, legal app designer, and Technology Coordinator for an arts-focused non-profit. These experiences have given me valuable insight into the challenges and needs of a broad spectrum of clients.
When I’m not in the office, I’m an avid (possibly obsessive) music fan, and I play in a three-piece rock band. I also spend a fair bit of time playing, watching, and talking about soccer, and I love nothing more than catching up with friends and family.

Select Experience
- Overseen the incorporations of dozens of corporations of various types and structures, including professional/regulated corporations and non-profit societies
- Assisted with a variety of corporate functions, including corporate reorganizations, mergers/amalgamations, and asset rollovers
- Assisted many vendors and purchasers alike with the purchases and sales of businesses (asset sales and shares sales)
- Custom drafted and reviewed innumerable corporate and commercial agreements, including services agreements (and more complex master services agreements), leases, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, confidentiality agreements and more
- Custom drafted and reviewed terms of use, end-user license agreements, SaaS agreements, simple agreements for future equity (SAFEs) and convertible notes, and privacy policies for technology and e-commerce businesses
- Assisted with the registration of Mortgage Broker firms and Submortgage Brokers with the BC Financial Services Authority
- Liased and worked with crown corporations and regulators in amending and assigning licenses (insurance industry)
